About Me

I'm Malik Danab, a Gameplay Programmer and Technical Designer who just finished my degree in Arts, Technology, and Emerging Communication (ATEC) at UT Dallas with a Concentration in Animation & Game Design. I've been making games for 9 years now, starting with simple scripts and working my way up to full systems architecture, mostly in C#, C++, Unity, and UE5.
I'm comfortable on both the design side and the code side of a game. On my solo project FourSight that meant building the simulation on Unity's ECS, and on the psychological horror game InVein it meant sound systems and rendering work. Either way, I want the mechanics I build to be stable and feel good to play.
When I'm not in an IDE, I'm likely "researching game design" by playing Magic: The Gathering, Slay the Spire, or playing DND.
